Many specialties, one discipline.
The Croatian Association of Aesthetic Medicine is a non-profit scientific association, founded in Opatija in 2007.
Who we are
The Association brings together doctors of different specialties who share an interest in aesthetic medicine. We promote education and collaboration, interdisciplinary work between doctors and other professionals, and experimental research in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

What we stand for
Aesthetic medicine is medicine. That is why we advocate the same standards that apply in every other branch of medicine:
- Treatments are performed by a doctor, after an examination and in a suitable clinical setting.
- Every procedure is preceded by informed consent, with risks and alternatives clearly explained.
- Public communication is truthful: no promises of guaranteed results and no misleading “before and after” images.
- Special protection for minors and vulnerable people.
- Only authorised medicines and medical devices of known origin are used.
- Continuing education and evidence-based practice.
- Transparency in relations with industry.
