Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

A medical discipline born in Paris in 1973, devoted to preventing ageing and to the physical and psychological balance of healthy people.
International School
A four-year course in aesthetic medicine in Rome, under the patronage of UIME.

An aesthetic treatment is a medical procedure. You should have a clear answer to each of these before you agree to one.
Is the person treating you a doctor?
In Croatia you can check the public register of the Croatian Medical Chamber. Injectable treatments such as botulinum toxin and dermal fillers should be performed by a doctor.
Have you had a proper examination?
Your medical history, an examination and a conversation about your expectations come before any proposal. Treatments are not chosen from a price list.
Do you know what is being used?
You have the right to know the product name, the manufacturer and the batch number, and to receive this information in writing.
Do you understand the risks and alternatives?
Informed consent means the possible risks, side effects and other options have been explained to you, and that you have had time to decide.

Opatija hosts the 14th European Congress of Aesthetic Medicine, from 12 to 14 June 2026. Three days of scientific education and exchange between doctors from across Europe.
